Civil Engineering is a broad professional field including structural and foundation design, management and planning, and construction and maintenance of airports, bridges, highway, railways, tunnels, habour, docks, dams, water supply system, drainage system, irrigation system, sewage treatment system, domestic and industrial buildings.
The objective of the civil engineering program is to educate and train the students to be civil engineers with formation of good scientific knowledge and sound engineering practice. The emphasis of the program is directed to the areas of Structural engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Environmental engineering and Construction management.
