澳大機電工程系教授編輯的專題著作《合金的激光表面處理用作抗腐蝕及磨蝕》
A monograph ‘Laser surface modification of alloys for corrosion and erosion resistance’, edited by Prof. Chi Tat Kwok was published by the Woodhead Publishing Limited, a well-known science and technical books publisher in UK. Two book chapters were also contributed by Prof. Kwok and his PhD students (Ms. Po Kee Wong and Mr. Weng Kin Chan), and Dr. Kin Ho Lo from the research team of Materials Science in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering of FST.
Corrosion and erosion processes can occur independently or synergistically to cause serious damage to metallic materials. Laser surface modification techniques are being increasingly used to treat surfaces to prevent corrosion or repair corroded / damaged components. This book addresses the lack of a comprehensive book dealing with this topic and provides an impetus to the research on laser surface modification of various engineering alloys for enhancing their corrosion and erosion resistance. It is divided into two main parts including improving corrosion and cracking resistance and improving erosion resistance for the laser-surface modified engineering alloys. It reviews the wealth of recent research on these important techniques and their applications. With the international teams of contributors from different countries/cities including China, Macau, Hong Kong, India, Japan, France, and Portugal, this book becomes a standard reference for all those concerned with preventing corrosion and erosion damage in metallic components in sectors as diverse as energy production, electrical engineering and biomedical applications.
由澳大科技學院機電工程系郭志達教授編輯的一本專題著作題為《合金的激光表面處理用作抗腐蝕及磨蝕》已由英國知名的科技書籍出版社Woodhead出版。澳大機電系的材料科學研究小組包括郭教授和其博士生(黃寶琪和陳永健同學)及羅健豪博士也參與編寫了兩個章節。
金屬材料腐蝕和磨蝕過程可以獨立或協同發生,而且可造成嚴重損害。激光表面處理技術越來越多地應用於金屬材料表面,以防止腐蝕及磨蝕或修復損壞的部件。鑒於有關本主題的書籍非常缺乏,故此,本專著提供了對金屬材料激光表面處理的抗腐蝕和磨蝕研究的推動。本專著分為兩個主要部分:包括利用激光表面處理(i)改善合金的耐腐蝕和破裂性及(ii)改進合金的耐磨蝕性。此外,本專著也回顧了最近期激光表面處理的研究及其應用。
《合金的激光表面處理用作抗腐蝕及磨蝕》的作者來自國際不同國家/城市的團隊:包括中國、澳門、香港、印度、日本、法國和葡萄牙。這是一本關於利用激光表面處理防止金屬部件腐蝕及磨蝕的標準參考著作,不僅可應用於能源生產,更可應用於電氣工程和生物醫學等領域。
