A Variational Approach for Image Stitching
Speaker:Prof. Michael K. Ng
Department of Mathematics
Hong Kong Baptist University
Date & Time:23 Apr 2012 (Monday) 11:00
Venue:JM19
Organized by:Department of Mathematics

Abstract

In this talk, I will discuss an algorithm for image stitching. Our idea is to propose a variational approach containing an energy functional to determine both weighting mask functions and a stitched image together. Both theoretical and numerical results are presented to show that the proposed model works very well, compare it with the other existing methods.
