Abstract

SESQ is a topic specific search engine designed for Internet. Given a concept schema consisting of objects and their relationships, SESQ can find relevant data of the schema from Internet and support end users to query them. Major tasks of SESQ are directed by scripts of GQML, a specific graph language for search, cleaning, transformation and query data from Internet. Illustrating examples will show how GQML works and the current status of SESQ.

Lizhu Zhou is a Professor of Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, the Chair of the Department Academic Committee, and the Director of Tsinghua-IBM Innovation Institute. He received his Master of Science degree from University of Toronto in 1983. His major research interests include database systems, digital resource management, Web data processing, and information system design. Since 1980's, Professor Zhou has led his group completed 20 R & D projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of China, China's High-Tech Programs, and industry. He has published over 70 papers in journals and conferences and served as a PC member, Program Co-Chair, or General Chair for many international conferences.
